Herbalist arrested with corpse of 13-year-old girl

Operatives of Vigilante have allegedly arrested an herbalist, Ogidan Mustapha, with the corpse of a 13-year-old girl who was electrocuted at her parents’ house in Igode village, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun state.
The Ogun State Police Command in a press statement released by the PPRO, SP Omolola Odutola to newsmen in Abeokuta on Friday revealed that the suspect whom “men of Vigilante arrested at 1:30 hour of 20 September 2024 while he was trying to bury the victim whose hands have been disabled at a river bank in Igbosoro of Igode village area of Sagamu local government.”
The police revealed that the victim Oriyomi Adegboyega got electrocuted at about 10:20 am on Thursday. But the mother was surprised to learn that her daughter’s hands had been dismembered by their neighbor who is suspected to be an herbalist.

According to Police, recovered from Ogidan after a search in his house are: Two English pump action rifles and various local charms.
Further investigation revealed that the victim’s father Mr Sunday Adegboyega had requested Ogidan to help him bury his daughter in a distant grave far from home.
The labourers who digged the grave have also been arrested.
