How 5 police officers returning from Edo election duty died in auto crash – CP Dogo

Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Salmam Dogo Garba, has confirmed the death of five officers who were in a fatal accident that left about eight other people injured, along Kano—Zaria road.
The officers from Kano state police Command were drafted to Edo state for election duty, where they carried out their assignments successfully, but lost their lives at Karfi, when their vehicle had a head-on collusion with a reversing trailer.
Driver of the trailer is among eight survivors currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Kano.
CP Dogo who comfirmed the accident to our Correspondent via a telephone call, Tuesday night, said the Command is taking measures to ensure that the wounded receive adequate treatment.

He described the accident as melancholic and prayed that God give the Command and families of the dead the fortitude to bear the loss.
“Yes. It is unfortunate we lost five of our officers to a fatal accident at Karfi, along Kano—Zaria road.
” They were retruning from Edo state where they were drafted to, for election duty. About eight of them, including the driver of the trailer are in the hospital.
” Their vehicle had a collision with a reversing trailer, ” CP Dogo told our Correspondent.
