The IDF on Wednesday reported the Iranian missile attack against the country which took place on Tuesday damaged several Israeli Air Force bases but stressed that no aircraft were damaged. The military added no upcoming missions were affected or changed following the impacts.
According to the IDF, the Air Force’s defense and operational integrity plan that was developed over the years proved successful, from air defense systems like the Iron Dome and Arrow to infrastructure protection, redundancy and emergency deployment strategies.
The Israeli Air Force described the public’s behavior as “heroic,” noting that adherence to Home Front Command instructions prevented casualties.
“Defense is based on knowing that thousands of missiles and rockets will be fired at you while continuing to operate without harm to people or aircraft.

No aircraft were damaged; only administrative buildings and peripheral components were hit. The core remains secure to ensure our operations don’t stop,” the military said.
Meanwhile, an analysis conducted by CNN revealed that missiles launched from Iran struck or landed near the Mossad headquarters and Air Force bases in southern and central Israel.
The IDF added that Iran had fired its most advanced missiles “without restraint” but hadn’t launched any hypersonic missiles due to Tehran not owning any such munitions despite their counterclaims.
“Iran knows, and we’ve proven, that we can strike any point in Iran. We won’t respond directly but will act against them as we’ve always done and will continue to do so according to our considerations,” the IDF added. “The Iranian attack failed because it targeted our home front, not our military capabilities.”
