    As part of efforts to kick-start the implementation of the Solutions for Internally Displaced Persons and Host Communities (SOLID) Project, the newly constituted Yobe State SOLID project team, led by State Project Coordinator Suleiman Dauda, held its maiden meeting today in Damaturu, the state capital.

    The meeting focused on the significant responsibilities ahead of the team and deliberated on the strategic actions required to ensure the project’s success.

    In his opening remarks, the State Project Coordinator, Suleiman Dauda, welcomed and congratulated the team members on their well-deserved appointments.

    He emphasized the importance of teamwork, dedication, and a results-driven approach to ensure the successful implementation of the project’s various components.

    During the meeting, Suleiman Dauda highlighted that the SOLID Project is designed to improve access to basic services and economic opportunities for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities, and contribute to the overall development of the state.

    The PC stressed the need for strong collaboration with all relevant stakeholders at the state, local, and community levels to achieve the project’s objectives.

    He also used the opportunity to commend the Yobe State Government, under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni for the visionary leadership and commitment to addressing the challenges faced by IDPs and host communities.

    Suleiman Dauda assured the government and stakeholders that the SOLID team will work diligently to deliver on the project’s mandate and justify the confidence placed in them.
