LAGOS – The leadership of Joint Aviation Trade Unions’ Forum (JATUF), an umbrella body representing all aviation industry trade unions in the sector in Nigeria, has congratulated Mr. Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, on his retention by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
A statement by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to Keyamo said that the congratulatory message was conveyed in a letter signed by Comrade Hector Nnadi, JATUF’s Secretary.
According to him, Keyamo’s commitment to advancing Nigeria’s aviation sector was unquestionable, stressing that his retention was a clear testament to his exceptional leadership and dedication to the growth of the industry.

He maintained that the minister’s exemplary vision and drive for improving the standards within the aviation sector had not gone unnoticed, stressing that the forum especially applaud the recent reorganisation initiatives by the minister aimed at enhancing the well-being of passengers and all stakeholders.
Nnadi mentioned several of the minister’s key achievements to include Nigeria’s impressive 75.5 per cent compliance score awarded by the Aviation Working Group (AWG) and the proactive steps taken towards collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for infrastructure development and aviation financing.

These efforts, according to the forum, had significantly strengthened the nation’s aviation ecosystem.
Also, JATUF applauded Keyamo’s outstanding approach to industrial relations.
He said: “Your inclusive and transparent handling of challenging policy issues has set a new standard for stakeholder engagement.
“The leadership and members of all aviation trade unions are hopeful that this productive relationship will continue and that critical issues will be addressed with the same dedication.”
JATUF remains optimistic about the future of Nigeria’s aviation sector under Keyamo’s stewardship, expressing confidence in his capacity to sustain and build on these achievements for the betterment of the entire industry.
