    BIRNIN KEBBI – The first lady of Kebbi State, Hajia Zainab Nasarajo Nasir Idris,on Sunday donated one million naira to Hasken Rayuwa poor women training centre in Birnin Kebbi,Kebbi state.

    Announcing the cash donations, the representative of Kebbi first lady, hajia Fatima Sani Udu special adviser on women affairs stated that the wife of the governor would have been here” her heart and spirit is with us because what you are doing today is what she loves and has been doing to poor women in the state, so she is proud of you and thank you for complementing what she has been doing.”

    Udu urged the girls who received the training to translate it by being self reliant and even become employers of labour as government alone cannot accommodate everybody but the training they received would make them stand on their feet and become useful to the larger society.

    Earlier, in his speech, the trainer and owner of the school, Muhammad Yusuf Kabani said that the eight old center has about 18 similar centres across the state doing same training on girls from poor background ” today we have graduated at least 370 girls from poor background we taught them different trades for self reliance and we intend to establish more training centers to add to the existing ones we have in the state “.

    He thanked the wife of Kebbi governor for her financial and moral support which he described as critical to the success of what he has achieved so far, he encouraged the beneficiaries to make best use of the skills they have learnt at the centre.
