    Kogi Poly debunks rumours of kidnappers’ invasion

    The Kogi State Polytechnic, Lpkoja, has debunked rumours of alleged invasion of its campuses by kidnappers. Rector of the institution, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, in a statement issued on Friday, said the rumour is fake.

    The Rector who described the rumour as unfounded and coming from the pit of hell assured students, parents, and workers of the safety of lives and properties in the school.

    “The attention of the management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has been drawn to the malicious rumour making the rounds that kidnappers have invaded the institution.

    “The rumour is not only unfounded, but it is also an imagination from the pit of hell.

    “Both campuses of the Polytechnic in Lokoja and Itakpe are calm and peaceful, as staff and students are having the best of the moment after the usual academic activities for the day.

    “Parents, guardians, and other stakeholders should remain assured that the Polytechnic Management, with the active support of Kogi State Government, is fully in charge of the security apparatus of the institution.

    “They should, therefore, discard the unwarranted and malicious rumour of security breach being peddled by failed detractors.”
