… Aspirant Greets Lagos Residents On 64th Independence Anniversary
LAGOS – Labour Party (LP) stakeholders and youths in the Mushin area of Lagos have passed a vote of confidence on Hon. Tokunbo Paul Ayanlola.
The vote of confidence was the climax of the stakeholders’ meeting held on Saturday in Mushin, chaired by the party’s Leader in the area, Hon. Olawale Okunniyi.
Speaking with Sunday Independent after the meeting, Okunniyi, a veteran political activist, said the people passed the vote of confidence to reassure Hon. Ayanlola of the people’s love and support for his vision and his burning desire to serve the people of Mushin.
Okunniyi, General Secretary of the Eminent Patriots of Nigeria, stressed that Hon. Ayanlola, who was the Labour Party’s House of Assembly candidate in the 2023 general election, urged the people of Mushin to rally round the aspirant who has been making a positive impact in the area over the years.
He said Hon. Ayanlola is a humble and intelligent young man who has the passion to serve the people to usher in positive change in the Mushin environment, stressing that the people in the area have a lot to gain if they give their mandate to him to work for them as the council chairman.
Also speaking, a popular female member of the party in the area, Alhaja Bolu Young, described Hon. Ayanlola as the leader the people of the area need, stressing that the people should have confidence in the aspirant to deliver on his mandate if given the chance to lead the people.
She said: Hon. Ayanlola is the leader we need and the change we deserve. In these critical times, our community needs a leader who not only understands our challenges, but is also ready to address them with transparency, dedication, and vision. Hon. Tokunbo Paul Ayanlola is that leader.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ayanlola who was present at the stakeholders meeting used the opportunity to congratulate Nigerians in general and Lagosians in particular over the 64th Independence anniversary celebrated last Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Ayanlola said: “As we commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary, we are reminded of the strength, resilience, and unity that have brought us this far as a nation.
“This is a time for reflection, not only on our past achievements, but also on the challenges we continue to face as a people.
“In this spirit of national pride, I want to call on all Nigerians, particularly the residents of Lagos, to continue upholding the peace that is essential to our collective progress.
