A cemetery worker and two accomplices have been apprehended on Sunday in Agege Local Government Area after local security operatives discovered five human skulls near the Murikaz area of the cemetery.
According to reports from NAN, the suspects were found with a suspicious bag placed on a fence at the back of the cemetery.
Local security personnel, alerted by the unusual activity, observed two men approaching the bag to retrieve it.
Witnesses revealed that the local security operatives, along with concerned residents, confronted the suspects and insisted they open the bag.
Initially, the suspects claimed it contained only leaves, but upon further insistence, they revealed another bag inside, which held the severed human heads.

An eyewitness, Isiaka Amosu, reported that the suspects admitted to collaborating with a cemetery attendant named Ismaila, who allegedly conspired with them to obtain body parts for illegal purposes.
Amosu noted that Ismaila had previously been involved in a similar incident six months ago, when he was caught by police with a human head and subsequently left the area for a time.
Following their arrest, the suspects were taken to the Isokoko Police Station, where law enforcement confirmed the incident.
A police officer, speaking anonymously, stated that the case would be transferred to the State Investigation Department for further inquiries. The officer emphasized the police’s commitment to apprehending criminals in Agege, aiming to ensure a safer community.
