Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Lagos State chapter, Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle, has called for peace, love, and tolerance among Muslim faithful in Lagos.
In his Eid Maulud message, Alhaji Adekunle said what Nigeria needs is love and unity.
On the economic hardship, he appealed to the government at all levels to do all they could to bring succour to the masses by paying the agreed minimum wage as well as give palliatives to the vulnerable.
While commending the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on infrastructure, especially extension of the Blue Light Rail Line to Okokomaiko, he said when completed, it would serve as great relief for millions of commuters in the area.
The PRP chieftain, however, appealed to the state government to do more for the people in Okokomaiko and its environ by constructing roads, culverts, and drainages. “With what happened at Maiduguri where the city was overwhelmed by flood, Lagos should be proactive to avert similar calamity in the state.”
