The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has rescued five passengers injured in a road traffic accident on the Mile 2/Badagry Expressway.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, announced this in a statement issued on Wednesday by Mr. Taofiq Adebayo, Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment at LASTMA.
The accident occurred at Iyana-Era, inward Agbara, and involved a T4 commercial bus (registration number LSD 668 YE) and an LT commercial bus (BDG 728 YE).
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the T4 bus was speeding towards Agbara when its brakes failed, resulting in a rear-end collision with the stationary LT bus, which was loading passengers at the Iyana-Iba bus stop,” Bakare-Oki said.
