John Stones saved Manchester City with a dramatic injury-time goal to secure a 2-2 draw against 10-man Arsenal in a thrilling Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

The match started with Manchester City taking an early lead in the 9th minute when Erling Haaland slotted home after a neat pass from Savinho.

The Norwegian striker’s powerful shot flew into the bottom right corner, giving City a 1-0 advantage.

Ilkay Gundogan nearly doubled City’s lead just six minutes later, hitting the post with a superb free-kick, but Arsenal quickly responded.

In the 22nd minute, Gabriel Martinelli set up Riccardo Calafiori, whose brilliant curling strike into the right side of the net leveled the score at 1-1.

Arsenal took the lead just before halftime when Gabriel connected with a well-placed corner from Bukayo Saka, heading the ball into the top left corner to make it 2-1 in the 45th minute.

Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard was sent off after receiving a second yellow card for a reckless challenge, leaving the Gunners with 10 men.

Despite being a man down, Arsenal’s defence held firm in the second half, with goalkeeper David Raya pulling off several stunning saves, notably from Erling Haaland and Josko Gvardiol.

However, City’s persistence paid off deep into stoppage time. In the 98th minute, John Stones pounced on a loose ball inside the box, firing it into the net to make it 2-2, ensuring a hard-fought point for the home side.
