Liverpool claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Chelsea in a thrilling encounter at Anfield on Sunday, sending them back to the top of the Premier League table.
The match was filled with drama, penalties, and VAR checks, keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout.
The intensity of the game became evident in the 20th minute when Chelsea’s Jadon Sancho went down inside the box, but the referee, John Brooks, waved away the appeals.
Shortly after, Liverpool were awarded a penalty following a clumsy challenge by Chelsea’s Levi Colwill. Chelsea players fiercely protested the decision, but the call stood, and Mohamed Salah stepped up to convert the spot-kick with a composed strike to the right of the net, giving the Reds a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute.
Chelsea had their chances, with Nicolas Jackson nearly equalizing when his powerful shot hit the post in the 33rd minute.

But Liverpool responded swiftly, and it was Curtis Jones who put the home side back in front in the 51st minute.
Assisted by Salah, Jones coolly slotted the ball into the bottom right corner after spotting Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez off his line, making it 2-1.
