A man has killed a woman and her son at Elemoro area of Lagos over argument on who to clean the compound.
The suspect, Vincent Ukpai, who is currently facing interrogation at Elemero Police Division,allegedly beat the woman, Gloria and her son to death over argument about who to clean their compound.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said on September 15, at about 10:50 am, information was received at Elemoro Police Station, that Vincent Ukpai, killed a woman and her son, who were his neighbours.
He said that after killing the deceased, he put their bodies in a big bag( Ghana must go bag) in an attempt to dispose them off before a neighbour called in the police.
Hundeyin said detectives from Elemoro police station,rushed to the scene,arrested the suspect and recovered the bodies from him.
“The bodies have been deposited at Epe General Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation, while investigation was ongoing.”
In another department,a 54- years-old man, committed suicide by hanging at Agege area of the state.
Hundeyin said,” on September 15, at about 8:40pm a complainant reported at Elere Police Station, that her younger brother,Olatunji, committed suicide by hanging in their house store.
“Officers from the station immediately visited the scene and lowered the deceased. He was taken to Orile Agege General Hospital,where he was certified dead by the medical doctor on duty.
“ No mark of violence was found on the body of the deceased and the corpse has been deposited at Mainland hospital mortuary, Yaba for autopsy.The police are investigating to unravel what really happened “
