AKURE – A father, Mr. Willky Gabriel Dele, has petitioned Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa over alleged forceful abduction and detention of his 16-year-old daughter, Rachael, at the Ondo State Children Home.
Dele said in a petition filed by his attorney, Tope Temokun Esq, Principal Counsel. Tope Temokun Chambers, Mr. Dele alleged that one Tope Olukoya, who works at the Motherless Home colluded with an official of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Akintade Kingsley, to lure his daughter to the home and detained her there.
“When the petitioner and his wife, Labake, went to demand the release of the daughter, the wife was allegedly beaten and dragged on the ground by Tope Olukoya.

But the Spokesman for state Command of NSCDC, Daniel Aidamenbor, told Daily Independent that he was not aware of the petition.
The petition with Ref: TTC/P/ODSG/28/2024 filed in the Office of the Governor on Tuesday, reads in part: “This petition is presented to bring to your attention sir and to public attention the lawlessness going on in the office of Ondo State Children’s Home (also known as Motherless Babies Home), ObaIle, Akure, where one individual called Tope Olukoya, who had severally been seen around the teenager had now officially, albeit forcefully and unlawfully, taken custody of our Clients’ grown up daughter, Rachael Oluwaseun Willky, a secondary school leaver, who is neither motherless nor indigent, under the guise of exercising powers of the office of Ondo State Children’s Home (also known as Motherless Babies Home) and has continued to unlawfully keep her away from her parents.

“They (Mr. Willky Gabriel Dele and Mrs. Willky Labake) are the biological parents, father and mother, of Rachael Oluwaseun Willky, who is now 16 years and 4 months old and who has now been forcefully taken away from them by one Tope Olukoya of the office of Ondo State Children’s Home (also known as Motherless Babies Home).
“Rachael Oluwaseun Willky just completed her secondary schooling and just finished her West Africa Senior School Certificate Examinations at Idanre High School, Ondo State.
“In order to keep her (Rachael Oluwaseun Willky) busy pending further steps in her educational career, our Client (her father) paid for and handed over a POS TERMINAL to her to start a POS business at the junction close to their house at Oba-Ile.
“While going out every day to stay at the road side close to their house at Oba-Ile for her POS business, our client noticed that a grown up man, one Tope Olukoya, would always come to sit around her (Rachael Oluwaseun Wilky) at the business point and the girl had been warned severally to be careful with him and all other strangers coming around the place since she is still a teenager.
“Meanwhile our client observed his daughter (Rachael Oluwaseun Wilky) was recording several shortages and losses in every daily transaction made with the POS terminal, and on the 9th of October 2024 , she incurred a loss of a of ₦76,000:00 and our clients chastised her thoroughly for this and between that 9th of October, 2024 and 30th of October, 2024, she recorded more losses and this made Our Client to stop her, his daughter, from going out again for the business.
“Our Client realised that the girl disappeared that evening of the 30th of October 2024 after he informed her that she would no longer continue with the business and they made frantic efforts to look for her between the hour of 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm in the night and had visited police stations to make report before she appeared around 11:10 p.m. and our client threatened to discipline her for this strange behaviour.
“On the 31st day of October, 2024, the same Tope Olukoya who had been seen many a time around their daughter and who works with Ondo State Children’s Home (also known as Motherless Babies Home), Oba-Ile, Akure, came to their house along with one Akintade Kingsley, an officer of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to invite our Clients, Mr. Willky Gabriel Dele and Mrs. Willky Labake, to the office of the Ondo State Children’s Home (also known as Motherless Babies Home), Oba-Ile, Akure and asked their daughter, Rachael Oluwaseun Willky to come with them.
“On getting to the office, the said Tope Olukoya told our Clients that they should return home but that they would not go back with their daughter, Rachael Oluwaseun Willky.
“The said Tope Olukoya withheld the daughter that night in the pretext of official disguise, thereby harbouring the 16 years and 4 months old girl illegally and unlawfully without any justifiable reason, till now….
