It was a sad moment for traders in Oye-Agu market, Abagana in Njikoka Council area of Anambra State as many persons have been feared killed after a speeding vehicle rammed into the market.

It was gathered that the fatal accident occurred at about 11:10am on Wednesday, when a speeding Sienna vehicle lost control, skidded off the road and crashing into the populated market

Eyewitnesses near the scene said the driver of the Toyota Sienna vehicle lost control of its brakes and rammed into the market, crushing some of the roadside traders.

Details of the crash and the actual casualty figure were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report as some of the injured victims were being rushed to a nearby hospital.

The President-General of the Abagana Community, Ben Okongwu, who confirmed the incident revealed that no fewer than three persons died in the crash, including an under-aged child, while some other persons sustained some degrees of injuries.
