Minister hails Tinubu for appointing Ma’aji boss of North-West Devt Commission

Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Ata has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Prof. Abdullahi Shehu Ma’aji as MD/CEO of North West Development Commission (NWDC).
Ata also extended heartfelt congratulations to Ma’aji on his well-deserved appointment.
In a statement issued on his behalf by Seyi Olorunsola, his aide, Ata described Ma’aji’s appointment as significant, owing to his, “extensive experience and unwavering commitment to the development of the North West region.”
The Minister also expressed profound gratitude to President Tinubu for his visionary leadership in establishing the NWDC, a testament to his dedication to the inclusive growth and development of every part of Nigeria.
Ata noted that the NWDC stands as a pivotal initiative aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by the North West geopolitical zone.
“The North West region, despite its vast potential, has been grappling with significant developmental challenges.
“According to the 2019 poverty headcount data, states like Sokoto and Zamfara had the highest percentages of people living below the poverty line, underscoring the pressing need for targeted interventions in the region.
“The establishment of the NWDC is poised to catalyze transformative change across critical sectors:
