JOS – The Executiv Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has accompanied the Vice President of Nigeria, Sen. Kashim Shettima, on a significant two-day visit to Sweden.
The high-profile Nigerian delegation Sweden, includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, heads of key government agencies, and parastatals.
They departed Abuja on Thursday to represent Nigeria in a series of bilateral engagements aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.
The visit which is being undertaken on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is to focuse on high-level discussions with prominent Swedish officials, including Crown Princess Victoria and the Prime Minister of Sweden.

The visit is billed to hold bilateral talks to strengthen cooperation in several key sectors, including information and communications technology (ICT), innovation, education, digitalization, sustainable transport, mining, and agriculture among others.
Vice President Shettima and Governor Mutfwang would participate in a technical session with “Team Sweden,” which consists of various entities engaged in partnerships with Nigeria..
The session is billed to highlight investment opportunities in health, education, the digital economy, and sustainable transportation, with the goal of fostering mutual growth and development.
The visit is also expected to provide a platform for strategic discussions with influential stakeholders in both the public and private sectors and set the stage for future collaborations that could drive Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
