My mum reviews scripts before I accept roles — Teen actor

A teen actress, Fisayo Amodemaja, popularly known as Fisayo Abebi, has said that her mother reviews the scripts she gets before she accepts any role in a movie.

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Abebi noted that her mother is always cautious about the kind of character she plays.

She said, “I have rejected so many scripts just to protect my brand. Before I go on any set, my mum reads the script.

“She makes sure there is a moral lesson in the story I want to act, then she would also send it to me to read and understand. That is why people who watch my movies can attest to the fact that they are always impactful.”

Talking about her relationship with other thespians in the industry, Abebi said, “Anywhere I go, I make sure I go with my mother, because she is my manager and personal assistant. No actor has ever tried to maltreat me in any way, because they all treat me like their daughter.”
