LAFIA – As part of preparation for the conduct of local government election in the state, the Nasarawa State chapter of the rulling all Progressive Congress (APC) on Monday summoned a emergency meeting of stakeholders to plan ahead of council poll in the state.
Speaking while declaring the meeting opened Alhaji Aliyu Bello, the state’s chairman of the rulling All Progressive Congress (APC), said that the meeting was sommoned to strategizing on the forthcoming local government election in the state.
He said that the times table for conduct of local government election has been released by commission adding that the party would prepared fully to participate in order to come out victorious.

According to him,” our tax in this meeting is to work out moderlity to elect our flag-bearer for the seat of chairmen and councilors; whether to go by consensus, direct or indirect. I want they stakeholders to work according to the time allocated for us by NASIEC,” he said.
He also said that on 7th October to 10th, the party would commence sales of forms and interest form to interested candidates for the both those aspiring chairmen and councilors, from 10th to 12th October 2024 the commencement of screening exercise for the interested candidates.
He further expressed that the interested candidates can picks a nomination form and interest form for Chairmanship at N6m while councilors is N1.5m respectively.
Speaking on behalf of the out going chairmen, the ALGON national chairman Aminu Maifata, appealed to all those interested in vying the position to accepts the resolution of the stakeholders to avert rancour during and after election in the state.
