The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced that its official website has been compromised by hackers.
In a statement issued via its verified Twitter handle, the bureau informed the public of the breach and assured that recovery efforts are actively in progress.
“This is to inform the public that the NBS Website has been hacked, and we are working to recover it. Please disregard any message or report posted until the website is fully restored. Thank you,” the agency tweeted.
The NBS, known for providing critical data and statistical reports for national development, warned citizens to ignore any information shared on the compromised platform, as it may not reflect the agency’s verified updates or accurate data.
