In the same period, the NDLEA successfully secured one conviction. Ogar emphasized the agency’s continued dedication to combating drug trafficking and abuse across the state and Nigeria as a whole.
The NDLEA also focused on educating the public about the dangers of drug abuse. Ogar highlighted that sensitization campaigns were held for youths, community leaders, and students in primary and secondary schools across several local government areas.
Additionally, the agency provided counseling services to 82 individuals—64 men and 18 women—who were involved in drug-related activities. Ogar expressed gratitude for the strong cooperation between the NDLEA and other security agencies in the state.
