A new Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, has assumed duty in Abia state, with a call on stakeholders and the general public to cooperate in ensuring the safety and security of the citizenry.
The new Abia police helmsman was until his new posting, the Commissioner of Police in charge of administration at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon Lagos.
He replaces now promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, who now heads Zone 15 of the Force with headquarters in Maiduguri, Borno State.
CP Danladi Isa, from Oganenigu, Dekina Council Area of Kogi State, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Imo State University, Owerri.
He joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in 1992, and had variously excelled in police activities, attending extensive trainings in policing and strategic leadership, winning awards and commendations including the IGP’S Commendation Award (2010) and Meritorious Award for National Development (MEDA) in 2012, among others and has attended many courses and held strategic positions due to his commitment to national security while in the service.
With his appointment, CP Danladi Isa, becomes the Police Commissioner to be posted to Abia since it’s creation in August, 1991.
