Nigerian gospel sensation, Somtochukwu Nsofor, popularly known as Essemm, has undertaken an ambitious endeavor to shatter the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous singing performance.

In a press conference held in Lagos on Sunday, Essemm revealed his goal of singing for an astonishing 128 hours, surpassing Indian singer Sunil Waghmare’s current record of 105 hours.

Essemm emphasized that this record-breaking attempt transcends personal achievement, aiming to propagate the message of Jesus Christ on a global scale. “This is about the kingdom, and its impact on global media for the gospel,” he stated.

By leveraging music’s transformative power, Essemm seeks to uplift, inspire, and share Christ’s love with the world. He believes that this endeavor will serve as a testament to the strength of faith and motivate fellow gospel artists to pursue their passions.

Essemm’s musical journey began as a young boy enthralled by melodies. He honed his craft by mastering various instruments, including the guitar and piano.

As a visionary entrepreneur, Essemm founded TWF Concept in 2014, a media and management platform fostering creative growth in Nigeria’s music industry. His production studio has nurtured local talents, empowering them to share their musical gifts with a broader audience.

Essemm also pioneered the Chronicles Music Concert, an annual event spreading Jesus Christ’s message through music and fellowship. This platform has become a springboard for fellow gospel artists to share their music and inspire others.

Through this record-breaking attempt, Essemm aims to leave an indelible mark on the music world, cementing his commitment to spreading the gospel and empowering the next generation of gospel artists.
