Kano Pillars FC, the four-time champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), have officially introduced their new players for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
The unveiling ceremony, held at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday, was attended by the club’s Chairman, Alhaji Ali Muhammad Na Yara Mai Samba, along with the board members.
The club has strategically added 12 new players to the squad, addressing key positions identified as areas of need.
These signings underscore Kano Pillars FC’s determination to strengthen their team and reclaim their dominance in the league.
Among the new signings are three goalkeepers: Chukwuemeka Oniya from Rangers International, Abuchi Okeke from Sokoto United, and Charles Tembe from Remo Stars.

The defence has been reinforced with Mustapha Jibrin, a right-back from Niger Tornadoes, Ugochwukwu Gabriel from Wikki Tourists FC, Nelson Abiam from Doma United, and Alhassan Rashid from Karela United, Ghana.
In the attacking front, Zulkifilu Muhammed from Rangers International and Sudais Ali Baba, a striker from FC Trollhättan in Sweden, are expected to inject creativity and goals.
The midfield has been strengthened with the addition of Bright Emmanuel from Solution FC, while Akpesiri Naibe, a wing forward from Sporting Lagos, and Emmanuel Anaful, a striker from Karela FC, Ghana, complete the list of new signings.
In addition to these new players, the club has retained 20 players from the previous season. These players, along with the new signings, will compete for places in the starting lineup as the team prepares for the forthcoming season.
The mix of experienced and fresh talents is anticipated to foster healthy competition within the squad, vital for the club’s ambitions this season.
The Sai Masu Gida will commence their 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League journey with a home match against newly promoted Ikorodu City of Lagos on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Due to the ongoing renovations at their traditional home ground, the Sani Abacha Stadium, the team will temporarily host their home games at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina.
