AWKA – A Governorship aspirant on the platform of Labour Party Mr. John Nwosu has expressed sorrow over the killing of innocent people in Nibo, Awka South local council on Sunday, and lamented how Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo could not secure Anambra State at this time.
In a statement he personally signed, Nwosu said he “received with deep sadness, the news of the gory killing”, adding that “as the true story of the gruesome shooting unfolds, my thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased and injured.

“This extremely sad and troubling incident, underpins the rising level of insecurity in our State. It is simply scary and unacceptable. Citizens expect Goverment to protect them and for those involved in such a nefarious act to be apprehended and brought to justice immediately.
“The government cannot be allowed to be derelict in its responsibility to protect innocent and defenseless citizens. We envisage an expeditious and full investigation of this heinous act with a view to bringing the perpetrators to book”, he concluded.
