Obama endorses Kamala Harris for US President

Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have joined have added themselves to the list of top figures in the Democratic Party that have endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to win the nomination of the party for the November 5 presidential election.
The Obamas’ endorsement came via a phone call to Harris, the video of which was shared on the social media
Obama, a former US President, told Harris in the phone conversation: “We called to say Michelle and I couldn’t be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office.”
Michelle Obama on her own part, said: “I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl, Kamala, I am proud of you..“This is going to be historic.”

Barack Obama also wrote about the endorsement on his X handle.
“We told her we think she’ll make a fantastic President of the United States, and that she has our full support.
“At this critical moment for our country, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure she wins in November,” he wrote.
