Governor-elect of Edo State Senator Monday Okpebholo on Saturday visited Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House in Marina.
Governor Sanwo-Olu s[poke on the visit in a post on his social media handles.
The Lagos State Governor said he discussed collaborative efforts with the Edo Governor-elect.
He also said Okpebholo has a strong vision for his state and Lagos State will collaborate with his to achieve it.
Sanwo Olu said: “We discussed collaborative efforts that could benefit both Edo and Lagos State. It is clear that Senator Okpebholo has a strong vision for his state and is dedicated to its progress.
“I look forward to seeing the positive impact of his leadership in Edo State as he embarks on this new chapter,” Sanwo-Olu said.

Okpebholo who contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the winner of 21 September Edo State governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
According to the returning officer, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, the APC candidate garnered a total of 291,667 votes to defeat his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who secured 247,274 votes.
The candidate of Labour Party, Olumide Akpata came third with 22,763 votes.

Kuta, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, said the APC won the highest number of votes in 11 out of the state’s 18 local government areas; while the PDP led in seven.
“That Okpebholo Monday of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected”, Kuta said.
