Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu has asked his agent to get him out of England after a transfer to the Premier League ended in relegation.

Southampton will play in the English Championship in the new season and 29-year-old striker Onuachu believes he can play at a higher level.

Onuachu has already attracted interest from Germany and Turkey and even his former Belgian club, Genk is also monitoring his situation.

However, the big stumbling block is that he still has three years left on his Southampton contract and the English club will want to recoup the €18 million it paid for his signature in January.

Meanwhile, Onuachu has resumed back in training for Southampton ahead of the club’s pre-season games, while Joe Aribo was missing amid speculations he’s likely going to leave the club, Soccernet.ng reports

Both Nigerian Internationals joined the club last season, but have not been able to make an impact at the club.

Aribo scored just 2 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions, while his compatriot Onuachu failed to score a goal in 11 appearances, though the latter joined the club in January.

Aribo has been heavily linked away from the club after just one season at the club, with reports circulating this week that a move to Turkish giant Besiktas is imminent. The 26-year-old has not been able to settle at the club failing to show his best form for the club under three different managers last season.

The former Rangers Glasgow midfielder has now fuelled the speculation of his departure from the club after he was missing from the club’s first training back after the holidays. His compatriot, Paul Onuachu, was present in the training amid the belief he would be given another chance with the club.
