    Organisers of Nigeria Cup, an annual golf tourney scheduled to promote unity among golf enthusiasts, has unveiled plan ahead of the 2024 edition billed for September 21 to 28.

    The much anticipated championship scheduled for Ikoyi Club, saw Chairman, Planning Committee, George Etomi, highlighted proposed activities during a media parley staged at the golf section of the club. Etomi disclosed all is set for golfers to come display their skills before unlimited spectators and cheer leaders.

    He however hinted several sponsors are poised to uplift the ideology of the championship whose curtain will fall with a dinner party come September 28.

    In his words: “I’d like to extend a special thank everyone who has made this possible and I’ll also wish to give kudos to our sponsors, partners, esteemed players, and, of course, the media for your continued support. You’ve all played a significant role in making this event a success, year after year.”

    “We’re here today to talk about the 2024 Nigeria Cup Tournament, which will be held at Ikoyi Club from September 21 to September 28, 2024. “This tournament has grown to become one of the most anticipated events in the golf calendar, attracting top talent from around the world.

    “Let me share with you some exciting details: The tournament opener billed for Saturday the 21 is tagged Children’s Tournament. This will see kids square up against each other while Sunday, 22 will see Golf for Good Event come alive. This will follow with a Caddies Tournament scheduled for Monday 23 while stage will be set for Ladies Tournament come 24.

    “Nigeria Cup Kitty comes up on Wednesday while Professional Tournament takes centre stage on Thursday.  Having said this, Friday will see Sponsors, Guests & Veterans face-off while the main  tournament will be stage on Saturday, September 28t.

Over the years, The Nigeria Cup has become a platform for showcasing the unity and harmony golf as a game showcases.
