• Ready to sign 4 years extention
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to sign a 4-year improved contract extension with Italian Serie A side Napoli.
The agent of the Nigerian international Roberto Calenda has been in negotiations with the management of the club headed by Laurenzo Di Laurentiis.
After 3 weeks of discussion, Osimhen is expected to sign a 4-year deal and get an improved salary of €7 million per year (approximately N6.3 billion) and 2 improved bonuses.
The club will also insert a release clause of €120 million in his contract to scare off other clubs from getting him.
Meanwhile,Osimhen scored a beautiful scissors kick during one of the preseason training sessions at Napoli.
Osimhen has been actively involved in their training sessions, and he once again showed his brilliance.
The former Lille man met a cross in the box and struck a powerful scissors kick to beat the goalkeeper.
The 24-year-old Nigerian striker made quite an impression at Napoli last season. He scored 26 goals in the Serie A to help the Partenopeans to win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.
After the end-of-season break, Osimhen returned to preseason action at the club in midweek, and he was treated to a great welcome.
Napoli have some friendlies lined up in the next few weeks as they look to get into their groove in preparation for next season.
