The Museum of Modern and Contemporary African Art London (MoMCAAL) has named former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, GCON, as the Chairman of its Board of Advisors.

The Advisory Board has among its members, Mr. Franklin Kilbourn, Executive Chairman of Strauss & Co. South Africa; Mr. Lamon Rutten, Board Member of Ajlan & Brothers, Saudi Arabia; Mr. Olufemi Akinsanya, Chairman of First Ally Capital; and Mr. Olusegun Paul Andrew, Executive Chairman of MoMCAAL.

American-born broadcaster, playwright, critic and columnist, Bonnie Greer, OBE, also serves the museum, offering her insights as Museum Advisor on the project.

MoMCAAL is “a dynamic institution dedicated to celebrating the rich tapestry of African creativity,” believing in “the power of art to transcend borders, foster understanding, and inspire dialogue.”

The vision for the museum was conceptualized and championed by Mr. Olusegun Paul Andrew, who has carefully outlined the vision plan for MoMCAAL.

The museum is committed to showcasing Africa’s rich and diverse artistic expressions, serving as a platform for contemporary African artists to share their perspectives, stories, and experiences across various art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation.

Beyond exhibitions, MoMCAAL engages visitors through workshops, artist residencies, and educational programs.

“MoMCAAL is not just a museum, it’s a hub for fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of African art and culture,” where dialogue and exchange between artists, scholars, and the community are encouraged and celebrated.
