A petrol tanker explosion in Majiya town, in Jigawa State’s Taura Local Government Area, has resulted in the confirmed deaths of at least 105 persons.
The tanker reportedly fell, forcing the people to gather fuel before to the explosion, which occurred on Wednesday at around 12:30 am.

Shiisu Adam, the Jigawa State Police Command’s public relations officer, stated that roughly 55 individuals were treated at Ringim General Hospital after suffering injuries of varying degrees.
He said, “As I am talking to you now, the casualty figure is about 105 and the number of injured is 55 as against the 50 earlier confirmed.”
According to Adam, the tanker driver lost control close to Khadija University on Tuesday night at around 11:30 p.m. in Majia Town.
He claims that the tanker departed Kano on its route to Nguru town in Yobe State and that it exploded after the tanker driver lost control of the truck.
