Oyegbola-Sodipo accepts APC nomination for Abeokuta North Chairmanship

Hon. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo has officially accepted the nomination as the Chairmanship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Abeokuta North Local Government in the forthcoming local government elections.
In an acceptance speech delivered today, Oyegbola-Sodipo expressed deep gratitude to party leaders, aspirants, and the people of the local government for their support and trust in his candidacy.
Addressing key party figures, Oyegbola-Sodipo acknowledged the leadership of the Ogun State APC, led by Governor Dapo Abiodun, and thanked local party executives, including Alhaja Faidat Akintunde Sarumi and Hon. Yemi Adelani, for their guidance.
He also extended appreciation to numerous leaders across the local government, including Senator Lanre Tejuoso, High Chief Bode Mustapha, and Ambassador Tunji Ishola, for their unwavering support.
Reflecting on the collaborative nature of the primary process, Oyegbola-Sodipo commended his fellow aspirants, including Hon. Olayiwola Ojodu and Hon. Sulaiman Sanni, for their sportsmanship and commitment to the APC’s ideals, emphasizing that they are all “winners” in the process.
“My nomination as the APC standard-bearer is an enormous responsibility, and I pledge to work tirelessly to justify the trust you have placed in me,” Oyegbola-Sodipo said. He outlined his vision for the local government, focusing on economic empowerment, improved infrastructure, education, healthcare, and rural development.
He promised to work with stakeholders to implement the policies of Governor Abiodun at the grassroots level, advancing the “Omo Ogun ISEYA” agenda to ensure rapid development across Abeokuta North. Additionally, his administration’s “Sogbe Digboro” mantra will prioritize youth capacity development and agricultural growth.
Oyegbola-Sodipo concluded his speech by calling for unity within the party and stressing the importance of working together for the common good. “This is not about me, but our collective will to promote the common good of all,” he said. “Together, we will make a difference.”
