In a nail-biting encounter at Selhurst Park, Liverpool clinched an important 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, thanks to a well-timed strike from Diogo Jota early in the first half.
The win keeps Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table as they fend off challengers in the tight title race.
The game started with high drama in the very first minute when Crystal Palace thought they had taken the lead. Eddie Nketiah found the back of the net, but his celebration was cut short by the linesman’s flag. The striker protested, but the decision stood, ruling the goal offside and keeping the score level.

Jota, looking for his second of the night, squandered another chance in the 62nd minute when he rose to meet a free-kick inside the box, but his header sailed wide, letting Palace off the hook once more.
The tension built up as the clock ticked down, and in the 84th minute, Eberechi Eze had the best chance to pull Crystal Palace level. Standing in front of goal with just the keeper to beat, Eze’s tame shot went straight into the gloves of Vitezslav Jaros, a crucial moment that summed up Palace’s frustration.
Liverpool held on to their slender lead, thanks to a determined defensive effort, and the early strike by Jota proved to be the match-winner. Crystal Palace will be left ruing their missed opportunities, but for Liverpool, it was another important step in their pursuit of Premier League glory.
