ABUJA – Commuters along the Murtala Muhammed Expressway, also known as Kubwa Express, experienced confusion and panic on Thursday evening when the Mainland Filling Station, located near the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN), caught fire.

Emergency responders and firefighters from various agencies, including the Federal Fire Service, are at the scene battling the fire. Security personnel have cordoned off the area, and traffic on the 10-lane expressway has been restricted to the speed lane to ensure safety.
At around 5:45 PM, a firefighting truck from the Federal Fire Service, which had run out of water, was seen leaving the scene to refill.
Efforts to fully extinguish the fire and ensure the safety of the surrounding area are ongoing.
