The move is part of efforts to unify the party and resolve internal divisions within the National Working Committee (NWC). According to sources, Damagum will remain in his position until the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for October 24.
During the upcoming NEC meeting, the party will decide on its future course of action, which includes confirming the North-Central zone’s nominee for the role of National Chairman. This step is seen as crucial to strengthening party leadership and fostering unity ahead of future elections.
