A chieftain of the Labour Party, Dr. Kingsley Oghogho Okundaye, has described Mr. Peter Gregory Obi as a man with good Charisma and ability to energize the people.
Dr. Okundaye, who remarked on Friday during an exclusive telephone chat with the Sunday Sun, stated that the party is already coasting to victory in Edo and Ondo states gubernatorial elections with the Party’s 2023 presidential flag bearer Peter Obi as an astute mobilizer.
Recall that Obi was in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, on Tuesday to boost the campaign support of one of the leading contenders and flag bearer of the Labour Party in the fourth coming Edo Governorship election.
The Chairman of LP, National Transition Committee on Mobilization and Recruitment NTC-LP, stated that Obi’s electrifying presence in Benin Edo State on Tuesday, 2023, to drum up support for the LP governorship candidate, Olumide Akpata, ahead of the September 21 governorship election, justifies that Obi remains a force to reckon with and a formidable force against any rival.
“As I said, the visit was electrifying and inspiring, and the atmosphere brings hope. I dare to say that the country needs more people like Peter Obi to make this country work. And it is also worthy of note that the country has many more people like him out there with equal capacity that, if given opportunity, will make this country work”.
Dr. Okundaye, at different fora, has stated that the country is in dire need of good leaders as the present APC administration has lost focus while engaging in financial rascality, justified by a plethora of misplaced priorities.
Further speaking on the fourth coming Edo State election and the chances of the Labour party candidate Olumide Akpata, he observed that Akpata, having been chosen by the party represents the manifestoes and the party ideology. ” I don’t need to convince you that he, Olumide Akpata remains the choice Edo people seek all these years. And that can be justified with the support of the 2023 Presidential candidate of the people who have thrown his honest weight behind him. One thing we should know is that Peter Obi does not stand against what he does not believe in”, he said.
