A former spokesman for the defunct Atiku-Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, Daniel Bwala, has stated that the only chance for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, to become Nigerian president is in the year 2039.

Bwala made this assertion via his X handle on Monday, noting that President Bola Tinubu will need to complete his two terms before power shifts back to the North for another eight years.

According to Bwala, power will only return to the South in 2039.

He said, “Peter Obi only stands a chance to be Nigerian president from 2039 when he will be 79 years old or older. By then, his message would no longer be ‘vote for me because I am the younger of the candidates,’ but it will be ‘vote for me because age doesn’t matter, but capacity does.’”

He added, “The reason is Bola Ahmed Tinubu will finish his two terms, then power would come to the north for another eight years before it goes to the south. The e-rodents who keep shouting ‘we are the youth’ by then would be saying ‘we are the elders.’ Blessed week ahead.”
