BIRNIN KEBBI – A famous Kebbi-based philanthropist, Alhaji Yawale Adamu Sawwa, has called on the people of the state to rally around Governor Nasir Idris in order to consolidate the gains already made in his just one year in office as governor.
Yawale made the plea in Birnin Kebbi in a chat with our correspondent, according to him, since Idris came on board the state has witnessed aggressive infrastructure turn around as he swiftly attended to infrastructure deficit he inherited from the immediate past government.

He explained that, the state capital was nothing but a glorified local government headquarters because of absence of good roads and state of the art facilities befitting a state capital ” but we now have standard roads networks with street lights and adorable rounds about that is why am calling on all people of state to close ranks and rally round Idris to make Kebbi compete with other states in terms of developments” he said.
In the area of security he said the governor has been providing logistics support to army,Police and vigilante hence the reason Kebbi South in Zuru emirate is witnessing gradual return to peace by technically degrading armed banditry in the affected area.
Sawwa added that most sectors of the economy in the state have received the governor’s attention even as he made significant presence in agriculture by distributing free fertilisers and pumping machines to aid farming activities in the state to guarantee bumper harvest which is critical to food security not only in Kebbi but Nigeria as whole therefore he needs the prayers and support of people of Kebbi state to deliver the needed progress and development in the state ” if you look closely you will see that our state is lagging behind due to inactions of our past leaders in the state, now we have somebody that is ready to work,we must support him”.
