Nigeria’s Vice-President, Kashim Shettima has met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the onging 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, UNGA.
Shettima who is representing President Bola Tinubu at the UNGA 79 and the Secretary-General discussed efforts to deepen UN-Nigeria cooperation during the meeting.

The Secretary-General and the Vice-President, in his capacity as Chair of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States, also discussed the political and security situation in the sub region.
