JOS – The Plateau State Chapter of the All Progress Congress, APC, has joined other State Chapters of the Party across the Country in congratulating Senator Monday Okpebholo for winning the Edo State Governorship election over the weekend.
In a statement Made available to DAILY INDEPENDENT, the acting Public Relations Officer, Ashitu Bamaiyi said For the APC on Plateau, the victory over the weekend, is not only a political mileage for the people of Edo alone, but a signature of the Party’s popularity and visibility across the Country.
It is very heartwarming and fulfilling that despite the so-called incumbency factor, the people of Edo State rose against all odds by calling the bluff of the PDP in voting Senator Okpebholo of the APC.
According to Bamaiyi, the Victory of the APC in Edo State, undoubtedly is inspiring and reassuring, particularly to those States that are presently not controlled by the Party.

He added that APC in Plateau State encouraged and energized by the outcome of last Saturday’s election and it is of the belief that with concerted efforts and unity of purpose all things are possible.
According to him the esteemed supporters of Party on the Plateau, commended the National Secretariat of the APC for properly coordinating the campaign process, that led to the victory,.
He expressed the hope that such efforts would be replicated on Plateau, when similar situations arise.
While congratulating Senator Okpebholo for the well deserved victory, the supporters of the Party in Plateau State, enjoined the Governor-elect to try and live up to expectation if he assumes office.
