The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has announced that the state government will utilize technology and modern equipment to address insecurity.

Speaking at a media briefing on Friday in Jos, the governor acknowledged the significant challenge insecurity has posed to his administration over the past year.

He expressed gratitude to the Federal Government for its support in combating this issue.

Mutfwang noted that his administration has trained over 600 personnel from the state’s security outfit, Operation Rainbow, to assist conventional security forces in intelligence gathering.

“Insecurity has been a major challenge, but we have restructured our security architecture, and I am grateful to President Bola Tinubu for his support,” he said.

“Our efforts have resulted in relative peace, but the work is not yet complete. We have revamped Operation Rainbow and recruited 600 personnel to strengthen our existing force. We will leverage technology to enhance our security system and protect lives and property.”

Mutfwang also pledged continued support for security agencies in their mission to tackle insecurity in the state.
