According to sources “Governor Ododo who believes in the credibility of the polls is of the opinion for him to allow both the party and KOSIEC to have a credible process leading to who represent the party and eventual winners of the polls to be base on their popularity. The Governor who we all know is a democrat and a respecter of rule of law and good governance at the grassroot is not interested in imposing anyone on the people at the Local Government level.
“However, as good as his decisions may look good, an unconfirmed sources said his fugitive former boss, Alhaji Yahaya Bello may not allow it to see the light of the day.
“If the information coming from his hide out is anything to go bye, the entire 21 local government caretaker chairmen will be returned unopposed as candidates of the party subsequently returned as the elected officials of the local government.
“Alhaji Yahaya Bello who is known not be a democratic can do anything to circumvent the process, hence the opposition parties may have to be ready to slug it out at both the field and outside. It will be a rape of democracy to allow the purported plans to come to pass. We know Governor Ododo is a Man of principle and he should not allow such undemocratic, disgraceful plot see the light of the day. Let the outcome of the forthcoming Local Government election be a litmus test for a better Kogi State”.
