    Mohammed Bulama, a Police Inspector of Yobe State’s Police Mobile Force (PMF) 41, has been placed under custody following the death of Abdulmalik Dauda, a 39-year-old civilian, in the state capital of Damaturu.

    At the Zango district of Damaturu, Bulama and his victim got into a heated disagreement about “uncleared transactions.” According to reports, he stabbed his victim in the chest.

    Dungus Abdulkarim, a state police spokesperson, stated in a statement that the incident happened on September 29, 2024, and that the suspect has been taken into custody while the homicide case is being investigated.

    “The Commissioner of Police, CP Garba Ahmed, has ordered the immediate investigation into the homicide incident involving Inspector Mohammed Bulama, attached to Police Mobile Force PMF 41 Division Damaturu,” he said.

    Bulama has been placed in police custody while internal disciplinary action and legal proceedings are underway, the official clarified.
