The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Umoru Ozigi, has charged newly-promoted officers in the Command to redouble their efforts in ensuring the protection of lives and properties in the state.
He gave the charge on Monday while decorating the promoted officers.
Ozigi who was assisted at the event by members of the Command’s Management Team, stated that the decoration followed the recent promotion exercise approved by the Police Service Commission.
According to him, the ceremony was a testament of Police’s commitment to recognizing hard work and dedication.
Ozigi while congratulating the newly-promoted officers, emphasized the importance of commitment and professionalism.

A statement by the Command’s Deputy Public Relations Officer, Eno Ikoedion, gave the names of those promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), as Kontongs Bello (DPO LoveWorld), Moses Yamu (PPRO), Ogah Gabriel (DPO Uromi), Osagie Godspower (Commander Intelligence Rapid Response Squad), Brown Jude (DPO Okhuiahe Division).
Those promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police include the Personal Assistant to the Edo CP, Christian Akpa, former Deputy PPRO, Jennifer Iwegbu and the Command’s OC Surveillance, Adebayo Ayomide Adetunji.
The newly promoted officers in return assured the Command of their commitment to discharging their duties professionally.
