“Reflections”, a drama directed by Tasha Rumi, has premiered on YouTube, portraying the idea of wealth creation among Nigerians.

This incredible drama lit up the Jewel Aeida event center at Hakeem Dickson link road, Lekki Phase 1 Lagos, on December 26th, 2024.

Drawing an array of celebrities, filmmakers, and film enthusiasts, the event, which showcased the glitz and glamour of Nollywood, proved to be an unforgettable evening.

DAILY INDEPENDENT spoke with the producer of the movie, Grace Ofure Ibhakhomu, on the sidelines of the premier, seeking to know what inspired her to produce the movie.

In response, Ibhakhomu stated: “I recently started a wealth creation academy and I tried to look around to see if there was any institution across the globe. I discovered that it’s hidden, wealth is hidden from the general crowd,” she said.

“I also discovered that a lot of people do not read books. I have books on wealth creation and as someone famously said, ‘if you want to hide anything from Africans, you have to put them in a book.’ Africans are very wealthy but they are kept in the dark.

“So the best thing is that they like to watch films. Everybody likes to watch films, so trying to ensure that they begin to see the importance of wealth creation, we had to put it in a movie.”
