Rotarian Tella emerges new PDP chairman in Ogun

Rotarian Abayomi Nureni Tella has been elected as the new Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
In his acceptance speech, Tella emphasized his commitment to rejuvenating, rebuilding, and repositioning the party for future success.
He highlighted the party’s heritage as a ruling party and expressed confidence in reclaiming power in the next elections.
Tella acknowledged the challenges the party has faced, including internal conflicts and judicial interventions, but stressed the importance of unity and moving forward.

He also criticized the ruling APC in Ogun State, accusing the party of manipulating its way back to power in 2023.
He praised the PDP’s past achievements in Ogun State, such as organizing a successful National Sports Festival, creating jobs, and expanding educational institutions.
Tella called on former members who have joined the opposition parties to return to PDP and help build a stronger party for the future.
He said, “The people of Ogun State do not deserve this level of mediocrity in government judging from our history as a people of noble birth and charitable pedigree identity”.
