Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu
The Ogun State Police Command has said investigations are underway over the disappearance of a pregnant woman who was abducted on her way to the state hospital in Ijaiye in the Abeokuta area of the state.
The woman, identified as Mrs Ogunbunmi, who was due for delivery was said to have left her home in Oke Lantoro to the hospital for a medical checkup when some unidentified men abducted her.
City Round gathered that the abductors had sent Ogunbumni’s husband, Lateed, a message to his WhatsApp line to confirm the kidnap.
However, it has not been reported if the abductors made any demands for Ogunbunmi’s release.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, while confirming the incident to our correspondent on Friday said the police are still investigating the incident.
“We are on it. We are still investigating,” she said.
