Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North, has expressed sympathy for the owners and staff of three Abia-based radio stations ravaged by a recent fire.

The Saturday night blaze destroyed properties, including vehicles and buildings.

In a statement released on Sunday, Sen. Kalu described the incident as unfortunate and commiserated with those affected.

“My heart goes out to those impacted. We stand with you in this difficult time,” the former governor stated.

Although millions of naira worth of property was lost, Kalu took solace in the fact that no lives were lost.

The affected stations – Enyimba 94.3 FM, Rose 101.9 FM, and Legend 98.3 FM – were located off Margret Avenue in Aba North.

As a former Governor, Kalu also urged the state government to investigate the fire’s cause.
